On tour with Lisa, Louis and Maurice

Pupils can go explore on their own with Lisa, her nephew Louis and their little friend Maurice. Lisa and Louis visit their grandfather, who collects WOI stuff in the chateau of Zonnebeke. Maurice takes the children on a discovery tour of the museum with the help of a folding map. Along the way, they carry out fun assignments.

Workshop Passchendaele Archives

During this workshop the participants conduct their own research on a fallen soldier during the Battle of Passchendaele. Starting with a picture, a name and date they reconstruct what happened on the fatal day to ‘their’ soldier.

Possible to book this workshop separately or in combination with a visit to the museum.

Mission Polygon Wood

‘Mission Polygon Wood’ combines personal stories of fallen soldiers with activity tasks in Polygon Wood. Here, the group is expected to reach the other side of Polygon Wood independently via four locations. However, they do not have a ready-made itinerary. In small groups they need to use codes, carry out hands-on tasks and use British, Australian or New Zealand identity cards of fallen soldiers to find their way.

Possible to book this workshop separately or in combination with a visit to the museum.
