With this workshop, the participants conduct their own research on a fallen soldier during the Battle of Passchendaele. Starting with a picture, a name and date they reconstruct what happened on the fatal day to ‘their’ soldier.
This workshop is based on our project ‘Passchendaele Archives’. With this project we aim at adding a face and a story to those who gave their lives during the Battle of Passchendaele. They will no longer only will be a name on the wall of the missing or on a headstone, but shall have their own locatable spot in the landscape.
After the workshop the participants can visit ‘their’ soldier at Tyne Cot Cemetery.
We offer this workshop to students (+14) and adults.
