Changes room "Belgians in the final offensive"

From June 13th , 2019 onwards, the permanent establishment of the hall 'The Belgians in the Final Offensive' of the Memorial Museum Passchendaele 1917 will have changed. In this space the museum highlights the role of the Belgian army during the Final Offensive in 1918. All along this final offensive, the input of the Belgian army was of major importance. Hence, the liberation of the ruins of the village of Passchendaele in 1918 was the achievement of the Belgian regiments of carabineers and grenadiers.

For the improvement, the museum was able to draw on the exceptional pieces belonging to the private collection of Kris Michiels, who is also well-known to many people. On a professional base, he is associated with the War Heritage Institute in Brussels. As a collector, he has a treasure box of information, skills and collectibles. This is yet another reason to (re) visit the museum!
