An excellent website and a fitting tribute.
My great uncle Sgt William Brews fell at passchendale on the 6th Nov 1917, although a Scot he was serving with the famous 28th Batt of the Saskatchewan rifles.
His brother Alexander a Seaforth Highlander fell at Arras 6 months earlier.
We will remember them.

My grandfather, George Herbert Marett was killed in passchendaele around 9th November, 1917. My sister and I are participating in a Military Tour this April. I have stumbled across this site and only wish that my mother (his daughter) Amy Louise Marett was alive to see and visit your fine museum. We will be visiting it for her - her love for her father was unending and instilled in all of her eight children. His memory lives on. 93165

I just found my Great Grandfathers Death Certificate saying he died on the 3rd or 4th of Nov 1917. Its the first time I've actually attempted to do research on him. I served in the CF from 87-05 and would now like to find out more about him. I'm going to go through my fathers stuff for more info and post if if this project is still on going.

Let me know if you're still collecting data?

Dave
