25 April is ANZAC Day and on this day the people from Australia and New Zealand commemorate the Battle of Gallipoli in 1915, the moment they got involved in the Great War. In the context of these commemorations the Royal Brass Band of Zonnebeke organizes a special concert in the church of Zonnebeke on Sunday 23 April at 5 p.m.
In Witnessing the War we are confronted with the story of the Australian and New Zealand troops during the Battle of Passchendale in 1917 through the eyes of 2 witnesses. Malcolm Ross was a New Zealand war correspondent and Frank Hurley an Australian war photographer. They tell us their story.
The musical part is taken care of by the Royal Brass Band of Zonnebeke in cooperation with the ADF Singers from Australia and Tracey McRory from Ireland.
Tickets for this unique concert cost 10 euros and can be booked on 0032478 53 40 19 via email on firstname.lastname@example.org .
